Because we are committed to extending the finest service and amenities to our ranch guests, we must schedule our scarce resources in advance. We are located in the middle of God's country, but we are quite removed from supplies. Therefore, Ranger Creek Ranch requires a 50% deposit at time of booking. Deposits must be received within 10 days of confirmation contact or the reservation will be canceled. All lodging reservations will be on a first come first serve basis. Deposits are non-refundable. Payment in full is required 14 days prior to arrival. Cancellations do arise, and we encourage groups to have stand-ins available. Ranger Creek Ranch will make every effort to reschedule an event, but offers no guarantees pertaining to available dates. Please note that NO SHOWS will be BILLED IN FULL. How do I book a hunt? I cancel or reschedule a hunt and lodging if I have to cancel? Any hunt and lodging cancelled no less then 14 days before arrival date will be rescheduled at no charge. Deposit will be applied and Clients will be billed for the number of days, and the number of guests confirmed. Please have stand-ins ready as NO SHOWS WILL BE BILLED IN FULL. We are unable to carry hunts over to the next year. Is
there a place to purchase things I might have forgotten? Ranger Creek Ranch Pro Shop can outfit even the most ill prepared guest. The Pro Shop is Managed by our honorary Pro Guide Kaylie Walker and carries all of the necessary items needed on our tours. How do I get to Ranger Creek Ranch? We are located almost exactly halfway between Dallas and Lubbock on Texas State Highway 114. is intended as a general check list. You will need to bring equipment
specific to your activity. How much should I tip my guide and kitchen staff? Customary
tipping practice is between $25 and $50 per hunter. This all depends
on how you feel your guide performed. The Same applies for the staff
at the lodge $20 to to $40 per hunter depending on how you think the
staff performed. Can
I bring my dog and is there lodging for it? YES,
We have great dog kennels at the main lodge. Your dog should be seasoned
and very well behaved if you would like to bring it on a guided waterfowl
hunt with a group. Guide owned dogs are hunt tested and spend hundreds
of days in the field each year. Your dog should be capable of sitting
perfectly still while beneath cover and should not break. THERE ARE
ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS ALLOWED IN THE LODGE OR IN THE OTHER RANCH HOUSES. What
time do the hunts start? Hunts start between 4:30 and 8:00 am. Depending upon the quary and style of hunting. What
type of camo do I need? The
best camouflage patterns are wetlands camo, brush camo, and advantage
timber camo. Do
I need waders? You do not need waders if you choose, but they do keep you warm and dry no matter what conditions you hunt in. Also if you do have waders it will allow you to move to other places if needed, but clients will not ever be allowed to help put out decoys in water.
