Joyce and Gaylon Scott
Ranger Creek Ranch was founded in 1990 by Joyce and Gaylon Scott, and their daughter Ranell Scott, with family roots dating back to early 1900 settlement days. The family came in horse and buggy from Erath County and arrived in Knox County, Texas, December 10, 1900, which was the beginning of the ranching era. Fences were built and some of the original land was broken by horse and plow into cropland. In order to extend the farming and ranching operation, and to introduce the public to this exquisite region of the state of Texas, Ranger Creek Ranch was opened spanning both Knox and Baylor Counties

In the beginning, the ranch was made available for private and corporate hunting, and was run from the family kitchen table in the old ranch house. Now the facility has grown to house several large lodging facilities, multiple hunting lodge houses, rustic barns, and an industrial kitchen fit for a king. Corporate events, weddings, and large family gatherings can be booked through our sister company, The Reserve at Ranger Creek Ranch.
We are happy to welcome guests from all over the world.
